A 17-year-old girl is found unconscious and distraught by a lake. Her family, living in a village in the east, decide to have their daughter killed as a matter of tradition, thinking that she has committed a dishonorable act. The task of killing her is given to a close relative. On their journey of death, Meryem and Cemal's paths unexpectedly cross with a university professor. Will these three people, each on their way to freedom and a second chance, be able to overcome their fates on this journey in search of happiness?
